If you are reading this post, it is because I have met an untimely end at the hands of my TBR pile. Much like “Sarah Cynthia Sylvia Stout,” the hour was much too late for me to saved. Some inkling–nay, a premonition–prompted me to write this post so that I could be mourned in the proper fashion. (I.e., with a read-a-thon/giveaway hop/read-along held in my name.) I also feel compelled to warn my fellow bloggers not to follow my dark, dangerous footsteps. Please deal with your TBR piles before they deal with you…
Love,
Ruby
P.S. Please bury me with all of my books.
Also, the promised pics:

The pictures and video don’t include the books I loaned to my father as soon as I got them, or the odds and ends secreted in strategic locations around my room, house and car. Or any ebooks, of which there are many. Fortunately, few of them are review books and can thus be pushed to the back of my TBR list.
My TBR Attack Plan for Week 1:
- Finish Wake audiobook and start Spark.
- Finish Once Burned.
- Finish Whispers in the Night and Echoes at Dawn.
Someone (most likely, the executor of my will) will let you know how I fared during this first week.
Adieu…

I’ve spent much of the summer reading my head off and bringing my TBR down to a manageable level…feeling pretty successful, actually! LOVE your “Sarah Cynthia Sylvia Stout” reference–that’s always been one of my favorite Shel Silverstein’s.
I am doing a post about mine later this week
I pretty much sucked this summer!
Good luck takling your TBR pile! mine drives me insane!! LOL
Also, Son of Neptune is BIG!
Anyway, enjoy your books! and best of luck!
Ruby!! I’m so glad you had a chance to join! I haven’t been terribly successful but it’s worth a shot. I keep telling myself that one of these days I will learn to tame my book buying urges…..one of these days. *le sigh*
